2025 High School Summer Camp

DIRECTOR

Coach Brown first joined the DFW debate community in 2007 as a competitor at Coppell High School. He currently serves as the Director of Speech & Debate at Southlake Carroll. His students have championed NSDA Nationals, TFA State, Florida Blue Key, the Bronx Invitational, the Harvard Round Robin, and more. Additionally, his PF teams have reached elimination rounds at every tournament they have attended. He founded Bluebonnet in 2024 and is extremely excited for the second summer of Bluebonnet Debate Camp.

PUBLIC FORUM INSTRUCTOR

Hannah Kim debated for 4 years at Flower Mound High School. She has 6 bids to the TOC, 2 extemp bids, and has made outrounds at 10 nat-circuit tournaments, TFA State (3x qualifier), and NSDA Nationals (2x qualifier). Throughout her career, she has coached dozens of debaters at her high school as a team captain. Hannah specializes in substance debate, has attended debate camp as a student, and is excited to work this summer as an instructor.

PUBLIC FORUM INSTRUCTOR

Dev debated for Southlake Carroll, where he accumulated 10 bids. During his career, Dev semifinalled UT, quarterfinalled Blue Key and Glenbrooks, and was first speaker at TFA State. As captain of Southlake’s public forum program, Dev has mentored multiple TOC and TFA qualled teams and specalizes in teaching both technical and lay substance debate. He is looking foward to teaching at Bluebonnet this summer!

PUBLIC FORUM INSTRUCTOR

Ayan debated for Southlake Carroll, where he accumulated 12 bids including 7 gold. During his career, Ayan championed Cav RR, semifinaled UT (x2), quarterfinaled glenbrooks, and reached octos at Gold TOC. As president of Southlake’s debate program, Ayan has mentored multiple TOC and TFA qualled teams and specializes in all types of technical debate. He is very excited to teach at Bluebonnet this summer!

LD INSTRUCTOR

Aditya debated for Southlake Carroll, where he accumulated 4 bids. During his career, Aditya qualified to the Tournament of Champions twice, championed the Jasper Invitational, quarterfinaled the Strake Jesuit Tournament, octofinaled the New York City Invitational (2x), octofinaled Emory, octofinaled Blue Key, and received top-5 speaker awards at tournaments across the country. As Co-President of Southlake’s debate program and captain of the Lincoln-Douglas team, Aditya has mentored multiple TFA qualified students and specializes in teaching both progressive and traditional debate. He is excited to coach at Bluebonnet this summer!

LINCOLN DOUGLAS INSTRUCTOR

Pranav competed for Plano East Senior High School, where he qualified for the TOC and TFA multiple times. During his career, he reached late out-rounds of Harvard-Westlake, UT, Grapevine, Greenhill, and TOC Digital. He also cleared at the Loyola Invitational, Harvard, and Emory. Additionally, he accumulated several speaker awards including top-15 finishes at UT and Harvard-Westlake. 

PUBLIC FORUM INSTRUCTOR

Arrman competed in PF for 4 years at Jasper and Plano West in Plano, Texas, as well as in World Schools for 1 year as a member of the USA National Debate Team. He was a four time qualifier to both the TOC and NSDA Nationals. In Public Forum, he garnered 24 bids to the TOC, placed 2nd at NSDA Nationals, championed TFA State and the UT Longhorn Classic, and was the top speaker at the Glenbrooks and UT....but his favorite debate memory is placing 2nd at the 2021 Middle School Tournament of Champions. While on Team USA, Arrman won Stanford and quartered the Greenhill Fall Classic and Croatia's Winter Holiday Open. As captain of the Plano West debate team, Arrman has mentored multiple TOC and NSDA Nationals qualified teams, and loves teaching everything from lay debate to theory to phil.
